If you’ve ever been in any doubt as to the difference between an orangery and a conservatory, this image should answer your questions.
Orangeries have been around for centuries, some gracing the oldest palaces in the world as they would be a solid structure where exotic fruits could be grown. Unlike a conservatory, the orangery focused on detail, as a room that connected the home to the garden it would have very ornate features capable of impressing any visitor.
A a permanent structure that would complement the architecture of the house an orangery was’t simply an add on as conservatories are. Using more brick, aluminium or wood than glass they were obviously more expensive but as such were a room that could be used all year round.
Today orangeries are the favoured way to extend a home as when done well they add incredible value while providing extra space that is often needed. They actually enhance a home, and can add a personality and class that was lacking before.
Aluminium orangeries are the perfect addition as the materials can be manipulated to produce incredible results. See our featured image or travel to the link below to find out just why we’re bowled over by this company.
