Application couldn’t be easier. Follow these step-by-step instructions from Mick Bowler, Research and Development Manager at Ronseal, to get the job done in no time.
Step 1. Preparation
Open a window and put down a dustsheet before prepping and sanding the item or area you want to cover, it is important to sand in the direction of the grain with a 120 grit (medium) sand paper. Before coating with Ronseal’s Diamond Hard Interior wax, wipe down the surface with White Spirit to remove any fine dust and allow to dry completely.
You can find more detailed help about sanding in our How To Prep Wood video.
Step 2. Application
Then you can simply start applying the wax. Using a brush, apply the wax, working in the direction of the grain.
Always stir the product well befor use. This will make sure you get an even colour and finish to make your furniture look its absolute best.
Apply three coats – waiting two hours in-between each one – and that’s it. Unlike other waxes you don’t need to buff the finished surface.
Sit back and admire in the knowledge your furniture will look and feel good for longer.
