The Best Hammer Drill – Pick of the Month
Strong, powerful and not one of the most expensive drills on the market either
Couldn't find any at all and we DID try
We’ve been trying out hammer drills as we came across some seemingly impenetrable stone. The stone was over three hundred years old and every hammer drill we tried either cracked the stone or became blunt before we’d made enough of a hole.
We’ve tried them all from Makita to Black and Decker but one came out on top, head and shoulders above the rest. Producing a very clean hole for fixings without blunting the drill or damaging the walls.
The Drill? The Hammer Drill from Worx. Now we’re a fan of Worx products as we’ve tried quite a few now and they do seem to be sprinting ahead of the competition of late. That is proved by this hammer drill as even the old faithfuls such as Ryobi couldn’t give the clean finish this drill creates.
See, when you put up a picture, hang a bracket for a basket, fix the fascias and soffits, you don’t want to think about the drill. The drill is the tool that makes the job easier, and shouldn’t really be considered at all. Just like you don’t consider the scissors when cutting wrapping paper, the washing machine when doing a load of clothes, or the PC when surfing the web- until something goes wrong.
With all the other drills we were forced to consider them as they made us well aware of their presence. This was either through noise, the lack of control when holding, the lack of strength for the task in hand and in some cases, broken drill bits.
The Worx drill just gets on with it, and does the job without a fuss while delivering the results you want.by
